		Dale Brown has been an active rockhound for the last 30 years and dealer in rare forms of slabbed lapidary materials. His specialty is top quality (high color, tight pattern, no fractures) material derived from 1920 to 1980 collections of rough rock which he slabs into 1/4 inch thick slices.

PROFILE of the “ROCKHOUNDS”

Dale, with his wife and business partner, Carmela,  have collected  “tons” of beautiful agates, jaspers, onyx, obsidian, jade, quartz, and venetian glass.   Dinosaurs are one of Dale’s fascinations so its no surprise to find fossilized dinosaur bone and coprolite (dinosaur  “dung”) in his inventory. Carmela has enjoyed a career as a public school teacher and Dale’s background includes service as an LA County Deputy Sheriff, a teacher of basic lapidary skills to after school youth at the local Boys and Girls club and extensive training involving two martial arts.
